My sister made a mask of my face, so it is in some ways a metaphor of how our own face, our own skin is the first of our masks. Several years working around that idea, also there’s something about this image that reminds me of the Amerindian mummies, so it is also another mask, my ethnicity.
And off course there’s also the other approach, the mask cover my genitals, disguise my nudity; so exists too a reference to sexuality, morality, gender and hypocrisy.
