Blood is thicker than … (salt prints over gum)

Part of my ongoing project in which I reproduce photographs from my family album employing historic processes like Salt print or gum bichromate.

These two images are one update to the post Shadow of the self… Blood is thicker than… process. I’ve added a layer of gum print and then again another of salt print over it.

Memory is something so diffuse for me: people, places even situations from a couple of years backward are in the middle of a mist for me.

This technique fits perfectly to that lack of definition.
